What Roastify does
Roastify is an Android app that writes roasts and comebacks with AI. Type a name or a little context, or add a photo, choose who the roast is for, a style and a heat level, and Roastify writes one sharp roast in the language you pick. It has four modes:
- Text roast: describe someone ("thinks he is a fitness influencer") and get a roast written about that.
- Photo roast: add a photo and Roastify roasts the choices in it, like the outfit, the pose or the room.
- Comeback generator: share what someone said to you and get three replies to send back.
- Screen Time roast: Roastify reads today's phone usage and roasts your habits, app by app.
AI roast generator: styles and heat levels
Choose from 8 styles (General, Savage, Witty, Dark, Fun, Brutal, Cringe and Playful) and 4 heat levels (Medium, High, Extreme and Nuclear). Tell it who the roast is for, like a sibling, a friend, a boss or an ex, and the roast is written for that relationship. One example from our own test, with the input "My roommate never washes his dishes" on Savage and Extreme:
"Even the sink has stopped expecting basic consideration from you. Your dishes turned neglect into the strongest evidence against your character."
AI photo roast
Add a selfie, an outfit or a group photo, and Roastify roasts what is in the picture: the outfit, the pose, the room, the props. It is built never to roast a person's body, and it refuses photos that show children. With our test mirror selfie (an AI-generated photo) it wrote:
"That laundry pile makes your bedroom look like a lost-and-found after closing. Your standards got misplaced before the camera came out."
AI comeback generator
Someone roasted you first? Share what they said and Roastify writes three comebacks to choose from, in the same language. For "Your cooking is so bad even the smoke alarm cheers when you leave", one reply was: "You have no taste, so your opinion on cooking only proves your poor judgment."
Screen Time roast
Roastify looks at today's screen time, your top apps, unlocks and streaks, and roasts the way you use your phone. It is the one roast where the target is always you.
Roasts in 20+ languages, written natively
Roasts are written directly in each language rather than translated from English, so the jokes land the way a native speaker would say them. Roastify writes in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali, Gujarati, Punjabi and Urdu, plus Hinglish, Tanglish and Manglish.
Free coins every day
Roastify runs on coins. New users start with 5 coins, and everyone gets 5 free coins every day. A text roast costs 1 coin and a photo roast costs 2. The daily reward board gives a free drop for bonus coins, and more coins are available as in-app purchases. There is a banner ad on the result screen.
Share a roast
Every roast can be shared as an image card with the roast, roastify.ai and a "Get the app" QR code, or saved. For photo roasts, an "Include photo when sharing" switch lets you leave the photo out, with a reminder to share only photos you have permission to share. You can also rate or report any roast.
